Bleach or Whitening Agents: Take into account using a bleach or whitening agent made especially for white clothing. Pay close attention to the directions on the packaging. Alternatives to chlorine bleach that are less harsh on fabrics include oxygen bleach and hydrogen peroxide.
Hand Washing: Hand washing may be advised for delicate or sensitive white clothing. Lumid water should be added to a washbasin or basin along with a small amount of mild detergent. Gently stir the clothes in the water, being especially careful around the stains. Rinse well with fresh water.

Drying: If at all possible, hang white clothing in the sun after washing. Natural bleaching caused by sunlight can help whites appear brighter.
